The Gratefulness Project - Day 11
Friends. Inspiring Action. Motivation.
Two of my closest friends are living their dreams at the moment and it's so amazing to see and hear about. Anne is from Vancouver, BC and we have been friends for 9 years after meeting at a Toonie race in Whistler in the summer of 2005. I think it was a Loonie race at the time...and fyi...this is Whistler's awesome version of what a fun mountain bike race is all about! Race for a Toonie, get tickets for beer and food put on by a local restaurant and business and have FUN.
Anne and I have seen each other through some pretty crazy life changing stuff over the years and have always been able to count on each other for support. Anne just happens to be in Nelson, BC taking a much needed rest day on her way to Newfoundland...(drum roll please)...on her BIKE! This is something I have wanted to do for years and she's doing it! So cool. I cannot wait to join her on part of her journey and make more memories together. I haven't seen Anne since our last adventure in Panama in 2012.
My other friend Jessie is from Wisconsin and I met her and her man Nate at a Spanish school in San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala. At that point they were almost at the 2 year mark of travelling the world. Yes that's right...they travelled around the world for over 2 years! Super cool. We have been friends for almost two and a half years. You know when you meet someone and you just friggin' click?!? Well that was the case and although we haven't seen each other in a couple years, we talk all the time. We both LOVE Costa Rica AND she has found her dream job which will take her and Nate there for 8 to 9 months of the year. How dreamy is that!
So today I find myself being so incredibly grateful for two very special friends of mine, Anne and Jessie. You both inspire me through your actions and your actions and kind words help motivate and inspire me to reach for my dreams.
THANK YOU!! Lots of love to you both!
