- Hills and gearing are your nemesis and you're looking to figure out how to make them easier and be more efficient.
- Clipping in and out of your pedals scares you!
- Turning corners and fast downhills are nail biting experiences!
- You want to know how to prepare yourself and your bike for your ride especially if you're riding on your own.
- You feel intimidated by the thought of riding with others that might be too fast or experienced for you. You have no idea what you’re supposed to do when you ride in a group. And more often than not you feel like you’re holding the group up!
- You don’t know OR you can’t find anyone to ride with or you haven’t met the awesome ladies you are meant to ride with.
Then my Learn To Ride Skills Camp is for YOU!
This Skills Camp is going to give you all the bike handling skills and knowledge you need to get you started off on the right foot with road riding. AND it will introduce you to an amazingly fun group of ladies who love to ride as well, the Pura Vida Mavericks!
Is this right for me?
If you experience any of the above fears or struggles then YES absolutely!
I know what you might be thinking. "I'm not sure about this group setting" or, "the other ladies are probably better than me" or, "I don't want to hold up the group" or, "I'm not fast enough". But those are just excuses and MOST female riders suffer from these same thoughts as they start out in cycling. I'm here to tell you that you can totally do this and I want YOU to be a part of it! We're going to have you shift into becoming a more confident and competent rider in NO TIME!

Who Am I?
I’m Paige and I’m about to become your new cycling coach!
Here's what I'm about: My motto is that safety comes first above all else. I teach what I teach because I’m so super passionate about keeping people safe and supported while riding in groups and with a set of killer bike handling skills! I’ve been EXACTLY where you are right now. AND I had no one to show me the ropes. I learned the hard way and I certainly do not want that for you! I have yelled profanities, especially on hills! Tried for my inside voice but sometimes it came out my outside voice! I created my cycling programs for women just like you. AND it’s why I created a community of women called the Pura Vida Mavericks. So I can support you after this clinic as well! Think of the Mavericks as your new accountability and FUN partners! |
I have asked the Mavericks who have come through my Learn To Ride Skills Camp what sets me apart from the rest and why they chose me and here is what a few of them had to say:
Thanks, Paige, for your amazing Learn to Ride skills clinic. Even though I have some riding experience and didn't consider myself to be a beginner, I learned a great deal and feel even more confident in my riding ability....especially group riding. You bring so much energy and enthusiasm. I loved the structure and lots of helpful riding hints. It was a great way to connect with other ladies who love to ride! I cannot wait to 'Take it to the Next Level'. ~ Darlene Newnham, Doctor, Barrie, ON |
My biggest challenge was confidence, and a bit of fear of road cycling. Sharing the road with cars and trucks always scared me. Since your clinic, I have noticed A TON of changes! I head out on my bike all the time now, confident in my skills and abilities. I feel safe riding alone and in a group, and even completed my first bike-only race in September!
Paige, your smile and attitude are everything! You can't help but enjoy cycling with you. Your enthusiasm is contagious, and your positivity radiates. Barbara Roberts, Lawyer, Barrie, ON |
I can promise you that after this Skills Camp that your bike doesn't stand a chance of collecting dust in your garage or your basement if I or any of the other Mavericks have something to say about it! :)

Here is more of what the Mavericks had to say:
In Paiges clinic we learned a lot of new skills, proper group riding technique, cycling etiquette, cornering, gearing, different hand positions, riding position on the road... and we also learned why all of these things are important! I loved the small groups and that you are such a strong rider and very passionate about cycling... its contagious! Paula Simpson, Nurse, Barrie, ON |
Paige's Learn To Ride clinic was a perfect way to gain basic riding skills in a safe and super fun environment. Learning the basic skills such as how to change my gears efficiently, how to ride in a group safely and how to climb a hill without stopping were skills I gained with the expert instruction from Paige. I am way more comfortable now!
Paige's enthusiasm for the sport is so genuine and her knowledge is invaluable. Her positive attitude and energy are infectious and she inspires you to want to ride your bike! Monica Wolnik, Doctor, Barrie, ON |
Such a great experience! Paige is a natural teacher. My challenge was that I need confidence on my bike and had been wanting to start riding with clips. Now I am riding with clips and have a better idea of road safety when riding as I must admit I was nervous about sharing the road with cars. She was able to make us feel so comfortable on our bikes and we learned so much!
Kristina Good, Midhurst, ON |
Paige's overall knowledge, patience, and compassion was incredible. She never made you feel as if you were holding anybody up or weighing down the group. She gave very thorough descriptions and guidance always watching you to help with feedback and advice. You could ask any question at any time and it was always answered. Paige being a Holistic Nutritionist was also a huge bonus! She was able to cover all aspects of building and nourishing your body to get the most out of it for your rides and overall health.”
