Who Am I?
I’m Paige and I’m about to become your new cycling coach!
Here's what I'm about:
My motto is that a clean bike is a happy bike. BUT it wasn't always this way. When I bought my first bike in Whistler I didn't even know that I had to maintain it let alone clean it. Needless to say you can imagine what my local bike shop said when they saw it.
Lube and clean and chain. Say whaaaa? I’ve been EXACTLY where you are right now AND I had no one to show me the ropes. What ended up happening was it cost me a pretty penny far too soon and a lot of frustration from not being able to shift gears smoothly. AND in the end I had to replace my entire drive train all because I didn't know how to wash and care for my bike. |
The truth behind why I let it get so bad was that I was too scared to touch it to clean it. True story!
I created my Bike Maintenance Clinic for women just like you. It's incredibly empowering to learn things like changing a flat tire, removing wheels (especially your back wheel as there are lots of parts surrounding it) and then learning to wash and care for your bike. These are things that EVERY rider must know.
I have asked the Mavericks who have come through my Bike Maintenance Clinic what they thought and why they chose to do this clinic and here is what a couple of them had to say:

I felt it was my responsibility to know how to take care of my bike, especially as I ride more and more without my husband...can't always depend on him. And I don't want to get stranded and not know how to change those silly tires! For those of you who think you know how to take care of your bike think again! You will be surprised to learn what you don't know about your bike. Paige is full of helpful information and loves to share it! Where else would you get to figure out how cold those little CO2 cartridges really are. Better here than on the side of Ridge Road in the rain! ~ Darlene Newnham, Barrie, ON |
I can promise you that after this clinic that you are going to know your squeaky clean bike inside and out and you will be so much more likely NOT to get stranded on the side of the road. AND you might even be able to show someone your new savvy skills when the time comes.
SO...
if you're ready learn, squash your fears, exude CONFIDENCE and are looking for a fun place to meet smart women and do fun things. Where you will be inspired and challenged to do things you might not do on your own, then my Bike Maintenance Clinic is your solution!

What will I learn?
This is a hands-on clinic as there is only one way to learn and that is to DO IT. The skills taught and practiced are:
- what you need to bring on every ride you go on
- how to fix a flat
- how to remove and replace your back wheel easily and effortlessly
- pump a tire
- use a CO2 cartridge
- how to make quick adjustments to your brakes
- how to wash and care for your bike
BONUS - you get all of what I teach you in a snazzy Bike Maintenance and Bike Wash Guide.
How does this all unfold?
Now that you've registered, you can expect to receive an email from me confirming receipt along with a mandatory questionnaire and waiver to be filled out as well as bonuses, meeting particulars and what to bring.
I will give you verbal instruction, have a demonstration so you can get a visual on what we're fixing and then we will work on it together. Hands on is the best way to learn to create memory.
