I want to share with you a little bit about me and my story.
I have to tell you that nutrition and cycling quite literally changed my life in more ways than the one I’m about to share.
You see, I used to weigh over 200lbs once upon a time. Weight has NEVER been easy for me. It has been and still is a constant dance (errrrr...TANGO...cause that just sounds more FUN!). BUT (and this is a big BUT) by getting an education in nutrition, seeking out the the support system I truly needed and longed for along with turning those pedals is what got me from there to here...where I am today. It was a process though. First was to lose the weight. Then when I realized that I had fallen in love with cycling it became, how on earth do I keep up with them boys! There must be something that I can do with how I eat that can help this because shit it’s hard! AND how do I ride those longer distances all the while feeling strong and energetic and not the flip side of that….(drum roll please) LIKE CRAP. |
I remember the weight loss part being a constant struggle for a long time. Riding bikes and doing all the other cross-training activities I was doing was literally like a ‘license to eat whatever the hell I wanted’. The thing is it doesn’t work that way. You really do have to provide your body with nutrient dense whole foods so you can keep working out and riding like you do while keeping your energy up and feeling strong and for some of us...to keep the pounds off.
If I can do it you can certainly do it. I’m a busy woman. Always have been and always will be. It’s keeps life interesting and I can imagine that will resonate with you. You are most likely one determined woman just like myself.
The key with health is all in the preparation, tools and support system you have in your repertoire to execute like the awesome woman you are and deserve to feel like.
