Who Am I?
I’m Paige and I’m about to become your new cycling coach!
Here's what I'm about: My motto is that safety comes first above all else. I teach what I teach because I’m so super passionate about keeping people safe and supported while riding in groups and with a set of killer bike handling skills. I’ve been EXACTLY where you are right now. AND I had no one to show me the ropes. I learned the hard way and I certainly do not want that for you. I have yelled profanities, especially on hills. Tried for my inside voice and sometimes it came out my outside voice! I created my cycling programs for women just like you. It's why I created a community of women, the Pura Vida Mavericks. Think of the Mavericks as your new accountability and FUN partners! |
I have asked some of the women who have come through my Clinics what sets me apart from the rest and why they chose me and here is what a few of them had to say:
You are very genuine; it is all about us getting better and not about your skills (which we can all see are fantastic!). Great individual attention. Climbing behind you in the end was incredible. It is amazing how much better you can get in only two short hours!
~ Heather Sheardown, Nobleton, ON |
Your clinic was informative, well paced and with the right number of participants. You watching and giving immediate feedback, stop and review and then add more was fantastic. I was dreading the thought of climbing hills but learned to relax, keep loose and enjoy the ride!
~ Patricia Revell, Barrie, ON |
Paige, I was inspired by your coaching technique. You were right there with all of us until we got it, making us feel that we mastered what we feared (hill climbing). I liked being in a smaller group. I felt it was more personalized and you took time for drills and explaining. It wasn't rushed and if we had a problem you were right there. I enjoyed the hill climbing drills and how you motivated some of us and gave us tips. I liked the part about your mindset when climbing and owning the hill and not the hill owning you.
~ Donna Marden, Bolton, ON |
I can promise you that after this Learn To Ride Clipless Pedals Clinic that you are going to be feeling better and way more confident at the thought of getting on and off your bike and in and out of your pedals and that it's going to be A LOT easier!

Here is more of what the Mavericks had to say:
My biggest challenge was confidence, and a bit of fear of road cycling. Sharing the road with cars and trucks always scared me. Since your clinic, I have noticed A TON of changes! I head out on my bike all the time now, confident in my skills and abilities. I feel safe riding alone and in a group, and even completed my first bike-only race in September!
Paige, your smile and attitude are everything! You can't help but enjoy cycling with you. Your enthusiasm is contagious, and your positivity radiates. ~ Barbara Roberts, Lawyer, Barrie, ON |
Thanks, Paige, for your amazing Learn to Ride skills clinic. Even though I have some riding experience and didn't consider myself to be a beginner, I learned a great deal and feel even more confident in my riding ability....especially group riding. You bring so much energy and enthusiasm. I loved the structure and lots of helpful riding hints. It was a great way to connect with other ladies who love to ride! I cannot wait to 'Take it to the Next Level'. ~ Darlene Newnham, Doctor, Barrie, ON |
In Paiges clinic we learned a lot of new skills, proper group riding technique, cycling etiquette, cornering, gearing, different hand positions, riding position on the road... and we also learned why all of these things are important! I loved the small groups and that you are such a strong rider and very passionate about cycling... its contagious! ~ Paula Simpson, Nurse, Barrie, ON |
Paige's Learn To Ride clinic was a perfect way to gain basic riding skills in a safe and super fun environment. Learning the basic skills such as how to change my gears efficiently, how to ride in a group safely and how to climb a hill without stopping were skills I gained with the expert instruction from Paige. I am way more comfortable now!
Paige's enthusiasm for the sport is so genuine and her knowledge is invaluable. Her positive attitude and energy are infectious and she inspires you to want to ride your bike! ~ Monica Wolnik, Doctor, Barrie, ON |
Such a great experience! Paige is a natural teacher. My challenge was that I need confidence on my bike and had been wanting to start riding with clips. Now I am riding with clips and have a better idea of road safety when riding as I must admit I was nervous about sharing the road with cars. She was able to make us feel so comfortable on our bikes and we learned so much!
