To Make Healthier Food Choices

I work with a lot of women and men who lead busy and active lifestyles and one of the first things we do is
find out how we can make their daily nutrition regime more nutrient dense to help fuel their active
lifestyle.
I remember when I started making changes, I'd go to my old cookbooks and was so frustrated that I couldn't
make any of the recipes.
They'd say things like white flour, white sugar, margarine and the first thing that would pop in to my head was 'Geez, I can't make any of these recipes...I might as well throw them out!'
AND I DID!
I know crazy...
Little did I know then that there are healthy alternatives. AND that I could
make each and every recipe in those cookbooks, HEALTHY.
I can tell you that when I first started out on my way becoming more active and eating healthier, I WISH someone had given me a list like this!
Eating healthy does require you to get back into your kitchen. Especially since the best and most sustainable way to eat is with nutrient dense whole foods.
I don't want to burst your bubble here but there are no pills, potions or powders that are going to transform your life and your health like whole foods do.
Speaking from experience, I have tried A LOT of things and I have had a lot of ups and downs taking two steps forward and one step backward with my health.
My steps backwards looked more like a train derailment BUT as I learned more about nutrition and spent
more time on my bikes those derailments started to happen less and less.
I like to think of it as dancing your way back to optimal health!
It's all about sustainability, balance and finding what works for you especially if you have a busy AND
active lifestyle like I do!
